Daniel Flipo submitted an update to the
lettrine
package.
Version number: 2.30
License type: lppl1.3
Summary description: Typeset dropped capitals
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
New (easier) way to enter the default settings: the lettrine package now
accepts the same options as the lettrine command; they set the default
parameters for the document. For instance
usepackage[lines=3]{lettrine}
overrides the corresponding lettrine.cfg setting and is equivalent to
setcounter{DefaultLines}{3}.

Jason Siefken submitted the
jobname-suffix
package.
Version number: 1.0
License type: lppl1.3
Summary description: Compile differently based on the filename
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
jobname-suffix allows one to compile a document differently depending on the
portion of the document’s file name (internally, the jobname) that comes after
the first - character. This allows one to have one source file and multiple
links to this source file (either as symbolic links, or as different files
referencing the original via an input command) that are each compile
differently. For example, an exam might have an exam-student.tex and an
exam-instructor.tex which both reference the same source code but where the
instructor version includes solutions and the student version does not.
Feedback welcome!

Karl Berry submitted an update to the
texfot
package.
Version number: 1.47
License type: pd
Summary description: Filter clutter from the output of a TeX run
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
texfot is a small Perl script to filter the online output from a TeX
run, attempting to show only those messages which (probably) deserve
some action. The TeX invocation itself remains exactly the same.
This update adds a new option --accept to explicitly specify regexps
that should be repeated, overriding all other checks. The option can be
repeated.
