The LaTeX Project Team submitted an update to the
show-pdf-tags
package.
Version: 1.6
License: mit
Summary description: Extract PDF tags from tagged PDF files
Announcement text:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The XML output from show-pdf-tags has been extended to show the
AF relationship and media-type of associated files.
This is a breaking change, generated XML will show this information.
All associated files associated to Formula will have the same values added:
so it should be easy to update any test suites testing for the original format.
< AssociatedFile name="mathml-1.xml" xmlns="" >
< AssociatedFile name="mathml-1.xml" relationship="Supplement" media-type="application/mathml+xml" xmlns="" >
< AssociatedFile name="tag-AFfile2.tex" xmlns="" >
< AssociatedFile name="tag-AFfile2.tex" relationship="Source" media-type="application/x-tex" xmlns="" >
The Schema have been updated to allow for these attributes (and to check
that MathML associated files have relationship Supplement).
They also allow some modified strucure element names in the LaTeX namespace
to match code in current and planned latex-dev releases.
Some experimental support to generate PDF Association "Tag Tree Diagrams"
using PlantUML is also provided as XSLT stylesheets transforming the
XML output to PlantUML syntax.

Karl Berry submitted an update to the
tugboat-plain
package.
Version: 1.33 2026-09-12
License: other-free
Summary description: Plain TeX macros for TUGboat
Announcement text:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
An update to the tugboat-plain package, for TUGboat articles using
plain TeX, now v1.33 2026-09-12. Notable changes:
- formatting of footnotes changed to match the TUGboat LaTeX style
(ltugboat.sty), including switching the font to \eightpoint.
- footnotes now support automatic numbering, if the first argument to
\footnote is empty.
- new macro \titleref to typeset a book (etc.) title.
- \abovecaptionskipamount, \normallineskip, \Thanh updated to match ltugboat.
- incorporate the tugboat.cmn file into tugboat.sty, so there is only
one implementation file. (The original purpose of tugboat.cmn was to be
shared between the plain and LaTeX tugboat styles, but that never worked out.)
Please see https://tug.org/TUGboat for deadlines, author info,
an archive of all issues, and everything else relating to TUGboat.
Suggestions and bug reports are always welcome; our general email
address is tugboat(a)tug.org.
And please submit articles for the next issue!

Quite a bit of work on the HTML version of the manual, and a new
three-phase symbol.

- Fix `nogate` anchor on some transistors (without gates,
but well...)
- Minor fixes to the manual formatting: avoid overfull
lines, change the voltage direction table code
to play nicer with the HTML code, improve some examples,
and fix code snippet rendering.
