Udo Wermuth submitted the
Transparent-IO
package.
Version: 2022-04-30
License: gpl3
Summary description: Show for approval the filenames used in input, openin, or openout
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The TrIO (Transparent file I/O) macros from the article in TUGboat 43:1Â (2022), 59--72.Â
Note: The macros require a complex installation procedure; the package
contains sed and bash scripts to do this on a UNIX-like operating system.
Every installation is different from any other as password-protected macro
names and private messages have to be chosen by the installer. Therefore,
the files in the package cannot be used directly.
The files carry the extension .org and only after the user has done
an individual customization for a private installation the changed
files are renamed and have the extension .tex. For details see the
manual.

Martin Gieseking submitted an update to the
dvisvgm
package.
Version: 2.14
License: gpl3+
Summary description: Convert DVI, EPS, and PDF files to Scalable Vector Graphics format (SVG)
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This maintenance version improves the lookup of native fonts
referenced in DVI/XDV files. It now also processes path elements
added with one of dvisvgm's raw specials so that dvisvgm can
handle them the same way as generated paths, e.g. regarding
optimizations and format options specified on the command-line.
Further information on the latest changes and the utility itself
can be found at https://dvisvgm.de.

David Carlisle submitted an update to the
ucs
package.
Version: 2.3 2022-08-07
License: lppl1.3
Summary description: Extended UTF-8 input encoding support for LaTeX
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Update to the ucs package and inputenc [utf8x] option
New Support address
https://github.com/LaTeX-Package-Repositories/ucs/issues
This update (By David Carlisle, with permission from the original
authors, Dominique Unruh and Wolfgang Jeltsch) makes
usepackage[utf8x]{inputenc}
act like the standard utf8 option, so has no effect in most cases
as UTF-8 is the default encoding in recent LaTeX releases.
If the ucs package is explicitly loaded, the original utf8x
definitions are used, but ucs.sty and utf8x.def have been updated
to use e-tex protected definitions to make them compatible with
Unicode support in LaTeX, notably MakeUppercase in the June 2022 LaTeX
