latex-ditaa is a package that allows you to embed an asciiart diagrams in your .tex files and renders them into beautifully formatted images. You will not need to bring your image files (.png .eps) for diagrams with your .tex files and not need to worry about losing their original files (such as .pptx, .pl, etc.l) or even forgetting tools with which they are created.
