I have uploaded xtab.tar.gz to UK incoming. Please use the files
to replace those in macros/latex/contrib/xtab. Also included is a tds.tar.gz which contains what I think of as a tds tree. The distribution is under the LPPL.
From the README: The xtab package automatically breaks long tables so they can span multiple pages. It is an extension of the supertabular package, providing additional functionality and reducing some of the weaknesses. Alternatively you may find the longtable package fits your needs better.
Changes (2008/07/26) o v2.3c released, hopefully with all extraneous spaces removed.
i have installed the new files (including the .tds.zip) and updated the catalogue.
users may view the catalogue entry at: http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/xtab.html or visit the package directory at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/xtab/
(the catalogue entry will be updated overnight.)
