- Functions to measure coffins at the code level (coffin_ht, etc.) and at the design level (CoffinHeight, etc.)
- New family of cs_if_exist_use:(N|c)(T|F|TF) functions
- New dim_abs:n function
- Box viewport/trimming functions, plus driver-level box clipping when using the native-drivers option for expl3. The later work with dvips, direct PDF output by pdfTeX/LuaTeX and with XeTeX.
- First part of a general move to use _nopar only for a very limited number of functions - most will become long over time
- Some fixes in l3galley for start-of-paragraph bugs
- Documentation for l3str and l3regex improved
- str_from_to:Nnn renamed as str_substr:Nnn
- A number of improvements in l3regex, including bug fixes, performance enhancements, support for caseless matches and partial support for {m,n} repetition syntax
egex_extract:(N|n)nN renamed as
egex_extract_once:(N|n)nN, with
egex_extract_all:(N|n)nN added
