Overview: This package contains a library and a command line program to convert from PNG/JPEG/NetPBM to EPS. Different compression and encoding mechanisms are available when producing the EPS output file. Suggestions how to modify dvips to use the library are included too.

Update contents: When running as a filter the program calls setmode() to switch standard input into binaray mode before the image is read. This is neccessary on some operating systems - i.e. Windows - to process images from standard input properly.
