gefileversion

From the README:

This simple shell script prints the version and date of a LaTeX class or style file.

Syntax: getfileversion <file>

This programme handles style files (extension .sty) and class files (extension .cls). If no extension is given, .sty is assumed.

This is the initial version v0.1.
