Reledmac and reledpar are successors of eledmac and eledpar. Many changes have been made in order to have a more robust code. Some setting command names have been changed in order to be more consistent.
Before asking question about migration to reledmac, please read the migration handbook.
There is also new features for endnotes, and the sameparallelpagenumber option of reledpar have been improved.
