John H. Lienhard submitted an update to the
mitthesis
package.
Version: 1.22 2026-01-31 License: mit
Summary description: A LaTeX template for an MIT thesis
Announcement text: ----------------------------------------------------------------------
The mitthesis class formats an MIT thesis or dissertation according to the current requirements of the MIT Libraries. This template is appropriate for MIT theses of all types. It can be adapted for other institutions, if desired.
This update includes extensive changes to the css style file for better html rendering, with a class-defined tagging namespace. The class now includes internal definitions of \subfigure and \subcaption; the subcaption package has been dropped. The caption package now loads only as design option and only for LaTeX formats older than 2025/11/01. Various additional changes were made to the fontset files and the design files. See the README for more details.
The mitthesis class supports tagged PDF (UA-2, A-4F, WTPDF-1) when using LaTeX formats of 2025/06/01 or later.
TeX Live 2022, or a later distribution, is required.
