These versions work together (and require) xcolor 2.00. Also, there are some minor bugfixes in pgf.

Thanks for the upload. I installed both packages on CTAN replacing the previous versions in CTAN:macros/latex/contrib/beamer/ and CTAN:graphics/pgf
