This important upgrade makes toptesi usable with both pdfLaTeX and XeLaTeX and may produce PDF/A-1b compliant archivable documents. Of course its multilanguage feature is preserved and thanks to XeLaTeX its multilanguage feature is further extended making this package usable also in humanistic theses dealing with ancient languages.
