i have installed this version of the faq to the usual places. as usual, for a major release, there are a few more questions answered, and a few more wrinkles in old material sorted out.

an innovation, this time, is the files pdf-newfaq.lab and pdf-letterfaq.lab; these give the relationship between question labels and question titles, for the two forms of pdf that i distribute. the files are actually output of a toc-like mechanism; i've not actually convinced myself of a way to typeset them, yet :-(
