Some text: egin{tabularx}linegoal{|l|X|} hline one & two \ three & four \hline end{tabularx}
thanks for that; i've installed the new version, and made an entry in the catalogue repository.
Users may view the package catalogue entry at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/linegoal.html or they may browse the package directory at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/linegoal
the package itself is out on its travels around the world, but the web page won't appear until some time in the dark hours of the night.
