On Thu, 3 Nov 2011 Theppitak Karoonboonyanan submitted an update to the

thaifonts-scalable

package.

Previously included in thailatex package, the Thai LaTeX fonts are now provided as a separate package, along with their SFD sources. In fact, the generated fonts used to be copied over from the source to thailatex on every release. Now they are just distributed directly.

thailatex will still hold some shared resource such as the Thai language definition file for Babel. And the split will allows other Thai font packages to come.
