The elsevier classes have been updated: the directory macros/latex/contrib/elsevier now contains .cls files and documentation only.

Simon Pepping (of Elsevier) writes:

Today I uploaded the file elsart.zip to the UK CTAN node, in the incoming directory.

The content of this zip file is meant to replace the content of the directory macros/latex/contrib/elsevier/.

This upload contains the following changes:

Updated: elsart.cls.

New: elsart1p.cls, elsart3p.cls, elsart5p.cls.

Removed: elsart.sty, elsart12.sty. These are outdated.

Rewritten: instructions-harv.pdf, instructions-harv.tex, instructions-num.pdf, instructions-num.tex. These replace model-harv.pdf, model-harv.tex, model-num.pdf, model-num.tex.

Removed: instraut.*. These instructions are outdated.

Modified: template-harv.tex, template-num.tex.

thanks for the upload. i've installed the new version (and deleted all the old files), and updated the ctan catalogue.
