A package has been updated on tug.ctan.org and should make its way to your favorite mirror real soon now.
Thanks for the upload, Jim Hefferon
======================================================================
The following information was provided by the package's contributor.
Name of contribution: xmpincl Author's name: Maarten Sneep Location on CTAN: /tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/xmpincl Summary description: Include eXtensible Metadata Platform data in pdflatex License type: gpl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor: - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The XMP (eXtensible Metadata platform) is a framework to add metadata to digital material to enhance the workflow in publication. References are given below, but the essenence is that the metadata is stored in an XML file, and this XML stream is then embedded in the file to which it applies.
New in this version is that the <?xpacket ?> tags are automatically added, which makes the whole package much more standards compliant. The package checks the xmp file to see if it is used on an older file to avoid double inclusion of the <?xpacket ?> tags (no changes to older sources are needed). - - ----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can have a look at the package at http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/xmpincl although you may get a better network connection by visiting a mirror of CTAN that is near to you; see http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/README.mirrors .
