The ccaption package provides commands for `continuation captions',

unnumbered captions, and a legen heading for any environment. Methods are also provided to define captions for use outside floats and to define new float (and subfloats with the subfigure package) environments. Tools are provided for specifying your own captioning styles.

Changes in version 3.1 o subfigure option code changed to match released version 2.1 of the subfigure package.

the files were (eventually) uploaded a day or so ago, at the same time as was the new version of subfigure. i omitted to send this announcement at that time -- my apologies. thanks, peter, for the upload.
