The LuaTeX-ja project submitted an update to the

luatexja

package.

Bugfix: text commands such as extquotedblleft were typeset in a Japanese font.

To fix the bug, LuaTeX-ja now replaces internals of DeclareTextSymbol, and reload tuenc.def. This causes that TU extrecipe (for example) becomes ltjalchar8478 , not a chardef token.
