On Sat, 3 Apr 2004, Olga Lapko submitted a new package called floatrow. It is licensed under the LPPL and has been installed in

macros/latex/contrib/floatrow

This package was created like extension or addition for float package.

The float package has good possibility for creation of common layout for all floats of one type without adding any layout code in document, but it deals only with alone (plain) caption---object combinations.

Current package allows to create and change similar float and caption layout for plain float boxes, row of floats, and float with beside caption at once.

This package recommends the usage of caption2 package.
