======================================================================
The following information was provided by the package's contributor.
Name of contribution: europecv Author's name: Nicola Vitacolonna Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/europecv Summary description: Unofficial class for European curricula vitae License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW FEATURES:
* The default input encoding used by 'europecv' is now UTF-8, but the choice can be overriden by the user (the mechanism for managing input encodings has been changed, biased towards a less efficient, but more flexible solution. Now, any input encoding can be used with any language, e.g. Greek users are not forced to use UTF-8 anymore. Moreover, the europecv directory is not cluttered with many .def files for the same language anymore) * The class now depends on the 'ucs' and 'inputenc' packages, no matter what input encoding the user selects (this is because the .def files are UTF-8 files) * A class option 'booktabs' has been added, to typeset the spoken language table according to the 'booktabs' package rules * Added a command ecvlastlanguage that works with the booktabs option * A command ecvspace has been added, to tune the position of the personal picture
MINOR CHANGES
* The personal picture now is typeset when ecvpersonalinfo is issued, not at the beginning of the europecv environment * Optimized eps figures. * Lots of cosmetic changes in the code and in the output * Expanded documentation.
BUG FIXES
* A bug that caused compilation to abort when 'notitle' was used with languages other than English has been solved (thanks to Massimo Coppola)
This version is still a BETA.
