just before i went on a few days' excursion, the upload daemon cried wait! -- and said:
The following information was provided by the package's contributor.
Name of contribution: xesearch Author's name: Paul Isambert Location on CTAN: macros/xetex/generic/xesearch Summary description: A string finder for XeTeX License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
XeSearch finds strings (e.g. (parts of) words or phrases) and manipulates them (apply any macro), thus turning each word or phrase into a possible command.
It is written in plain XeTeX and should thus work with any format.
The main application for the moment is XeIndex, an automatic index for XeLaTeX, but examples are given of simple use to check spelling, count words, and highlight syntax of programming languages.
thanks for the upload.
i installed the package just before i went away, and have now created an entry for the package in the catalogue repository.
Users may view the package catalogue entry at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/xesearch.html or they may browse the package directory at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/xetex/generic/xesearch
the catalogue entry will appear overnight tonight.
