the author considers the package obsolete; its results are (he says) far better achieved by regular use of xetex or luatex.

i have therefore, at his request, moved the package on ctan

from fonts/auto1 to obsolete/fonts/auto1

the change will propagate as usual with ctan mirroring. the catalogue entry

http://www.tex.ac.uk/ctan/help/Catalogue/entries/auto1.html

will have changed by tomorrow morning (cambridge time).
