The package is designed to replace several existing packages (libertine-type1, biolinum-type1, libertine) while providing partial compatibilty with libertineotf and the obsolete libertine-legacy packages.

the bundle includes a libertine-otf package, which resides in the doc tree (avoiding a clash with the existing package on ctan; for similar reasons, the otf files are named differently than they were in the older package.
