Announcement text given by the package's contributor: - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In 1990, Gerard Kuiken published extended patterns for hyphenation of US English (TUGboat 11(1)). Gerard has now graciously agreed to release them under a Debian/FSF free license, hence this update.
The patterns themselves are unchanged since 1990, though Gerard may release updates in the future for other incorrect hyphenations which have come to light.
The ushyphmax.tex file was previously known as ushyphen.max.
