Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- After the 2015/01/01 LaTeX release, the fix2col package is (even more) obsolete as the code in the base format is fixed by default.

This update makes fix2col.sty detect new LaTeX formats and do nothing other than give a warning about obsolete package use in that case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
