I just have noticed that TeX Live has version 3.9 of drftcite.sty whereas the latest CTAN version is version 3.7.

That is an oversight. I've uploaded version 3.9 (Nov 2001) to ftp.tex.ac.uk: incoming.drftcite.sty. It should replace the one in macros/latex/contrib/supported/cite.

This version has quite a few changes (some of which I won't remember now) and maybe I should have called it 4.0. Since it isn't as thoroughly tested as I used to do, mybe I'll adopt the convention that a .9 version is a pre-test of the next major revision :-)

i've installed this new version to replace the old one: macros/latex/contrib/supported/cite/drftcite.sty
