Name of contribution: verbatimbox Author's name: Steven B. Segletes Package version: 3.0 Location on CTAN: macros/latex/contrib/verbatimbox/ Summary description: Routines to put verbatim text in a box, used when verbatim is inaccessible. Also, for adding vertical buffer to an object. License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
The verbatimbox package has undergone a major overhaul.
The package allows verbatim material to be placed into LATEX boxes, for later recall. This function is useful in several situations, primarily in places where the verbatim environment is otherwise inaccessible (for example, in the midst of a tabular environment). It is also useful if a given verbatim text needs to be recalled multiple times within a document.
The introduction of the new myverbbox environment allows the user to place verbatim content in a box for which he chooses the name, thus allowing more than one verbatimbox to be in play at a time.
While there is application for its use within the verbatimbox application, this package also offers an independent command (addvbuffer) for conveniently providing vertical buffer space above and below a LaTeX object. The new optional argument allows one to specify the amount of buffer to add above and below the object.
Finally, authentic documentation is provided, sorely lacking in prior versions.
