On Mon, 15 Feb 2010, Francois Charette submitted an update to the
biber
package.
Biber is a BibTeX replacement for users of biblatex, with full Unicode support, written in Perl. This release coincides with the release of biblatex 0.9. This version of Biber was in fact specifically developed for that version of biblatex 0.9. See the accompanying README file for requirements and installation instruction.

Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bugfix release. * Removed support for legacy biblatex control files (jobname-blx.bib): Biber now only reads .bcf files which are generated by biblatex with the option backend=biber. * Improved handling of uniquename and namehash. * Don't escape LaTeX special chars in bbl output, as it breaks math formatting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
