Daniel Flipo submitted an update to the
babel-french
package.
Version: 2025-06-28 License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Babel contributed support for French
Announcement text: ----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a major update. The package is now split into two parts: * file frenchb3.dtx for pdfTeX and XeTeX engines (frozen), * file frenchb.dtx for LuaTeX only.
For the end-user nothing changes: \usepackage[french]{babel} automatically loads either french.ldf if the file is compiled with LuaTeX, or french3.ldf if the file is compiled with pdfTeX or XeTeX.
New for LuaTeX users: * new option TocPartFullName, * new lua function "euphonic_t" to inhibit hyphenation on the second hyphen of strings like "semble-t-il", * bug fix: \spaceskip is now handled properly when non null, * and more: see section "Changes" in frenchb.pdf or frenchb-doc.pdf.
PDF tagging: lists' customisation is disabled when tagging is enabled. see [details](https://github.com/latex3/tagging-project/issues/694).
