the daemon wrote, while i was in the theatre in london:
The following information was provided by the package's contributor.
Name of contribution: mylatexformat Author's name: Florent CHERVET Location on CTAN: macros/latex/contrib/mylatexformat Summary description: Use mylatexformat.ltx to make a format based on the preamble of any LaTeX file License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
Version 2.9 is an improvement of the previous one, due to many reports of users in the new groups.
catcode changes have been carefully rethought and simplified.
% --- ECM ---- %&myformat egin{document} something silly end{document % --- /ECM ---
can now be compiled with the format.
This was the main objection of some users...
Example of command lines to make the format (dump) on Debian are welcome, in order for me to complete the doc one day or another !
thanks for the upload; i have installed the new version and updated the catalogue repository.
Users may view the package catalogue entry at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/mylatexformat.html or they may browse the package directory at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/mylatexformat/
the catalogue entry will change (slightly) overnight tonight.
