This is a backward-compatible update for the package originally written by Brian Hamilton Kelly in 1995 and updated for Latex-2e by Frank Mittelbach in 2006. It implements the barred crossword envisaged by Brian himself, and adds rectangular grids as an option. Some macros for two-dimensional array processing may be of independent interest. The documentation is thoroughly revised and extended, including a brand-new thematic cryptic crossword.
