Summary description: ATS-safe customizable LuaLaTeX template for modern resumes/CVs
Announcement text: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, CTAN community,
There is no shortage of résumé templates. Some call themselves ATS-friendly, many don't bother, and few check. Yet a single job posting can draw hundreds of applications, and automated parsers decide what a human sees first. A résumé that looks good but is read back as a set of fused words, stray icon characters, or orphaned dates may never be noticed.
Lucid CV (lucidcv) is a LuaLaTeX class that treats machine readability as a tested property rather than an assumption. Its design is inspired by PlushCV (https://github.com/cystema/PlushCV), with a replaced custom backend developed based on a Python test harness that builds the PDF and reads it back with several extraction engines. The harness checks that:
- word gaps are real space characters, - icons extract as nothing, - every phrase comes back intact and in document order, - the PDF is the PDF/A-2b it claims to be.
The class was developed against these tests, and each extractor failure that appeared along the way was fixed in the class.
It supports single- and two-column layouts, a compact mode, and colors, fonts and spacing that can be customized directly in a document without touching the class and breaking machine parsing.
