# footnotenosplit v1.0
Initial release.
Setting `\interfootnotelinepenalty=10000` keeps footnote text from being split across pages: a footnote that does not fit is moved to the next page as a whole. This policy, common in book production, can leave a lone `\footnoterule` — with no footnote text below it — at the bottom of the original page, and the moved footnote sits too close to the rule on the next page. footnotenosplit suppresses both side effects.
Supported formats/engines: pdfLaTeX, LuaLaTeX, XeLaTeX (LaTeX2e 2025-06-01 or later), pLaTeX and upLaTeX.
