This tarball includes an update to a file currently installed as: info/Type1fonts/fontinstallationguide.pdf plus some new files which were not included in any of the previous releases. As of this release, the guide will be accompanied by additional resources. Therefore I would like to request a minor path change. If possible, please add the directory: info/Type1fonts/fontinstallationguide/ and extract the tarball to the newly created directory. (...) While the individual tools employed in the installation process are documented well, the actual difficulty most users are facing when trying to install new fonts is understanding how to put all the pieces together. Accepted input file formats are: PS (PostScript), EPS, PDF, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, PNM, BMP, GIF, LBM, XPM, PCX, TGA. New software for mailing list ctan-ann

Dear CTAN-ANN list member, during the next week the ctan-ann mailing list will be changed to use a new mailing list software, namely GNU Mailman. Today you will receive an automatically generated message explaining how to confirm your subscription to this new incarnation of the ctan-ann mailing list. Until next weekend, messages will still be sent via the old (majordomo) software. Afterwards, they will be sent using the new software. This means: if you do not confirm your subscription until next weekend, you will not see new messages after that time. However, these messages will be archived can be accessed using the web interface. Thank you for your cooperation Rainer Schöpf
