On Thu, 10 Feb 2011 Pavel Farar submitted an update to the
ptsans
package.
Summary description: PT Sans font and LaTeX support.
License type: other-free
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- In the fonts/enc/ and fonts/map directories omitted the paratype level
(suggested by Karl Berry).
- Changed style files in this way:
1) Added an option to scale the fonts. In the font definition files
was support for it but not in the style files. It was caused
by creating simpler style files than those created by autoinst
from fontools (they were created because the original files
required the package fontenc with all supported encodings --
which might be a problem).
2) Style files do not change neither familydefault nor fdefault.
There are font substitutions in the font definition files now.
Both suggested by Ricard Torres. Used his patches (based on Walter
Schmidt's macros) for PTSans.sty and T1PTSans-TLF.fd. The changes
extended to all other files.
Related package: ptserif

Version 1.12b fixes some bug of 1.12 related to uppercase
Greek (sorry!). Use mathastext to propagate the main text
font to math mode. Greek letters will be taken either from
the default math fonts at the time of loading mathastext or
from the Euler or from the Symbol font.

finstrut
was submitted.
Summary description: no more spurious line from par at end of footnote text
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
`finstrut.sty' changes LaTeX's @finalstrut (that is
automatically inserted at the end of footnote text) so that
it does not produce an extra empty line in vertical mode,
e.g., with lipsum from lipsum.sty for dummy text.
KEYWORDs: footnotes; tables, dummy text, macro programming

On Mon, 7 Feb 2011 Jean-Francois Burnol submitted updates to the
mathastext
package.
Summary description: Use the text font in simple mathematics
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In version 1.11:
* various bugs have been corrected
* the endash and alldelims options are active by default
* the en-dash and dotless i and j are now compatible with
all encodings, including Unicode
* the Mathastext command has been improved to
facilitate the mechanism of math versions also when
using XeTeX or LuaTeX with package fontspec.
Usage: usepackage{mathastext}. This will propagate the text
font to math mode.
Version 1.12 corrects some bugs from the recently released
version 1.11. And it makes mathastext better aware of Unicode
engines and fonts.
* The endash and alldelims options are active by default.
* The Mathastext command has been improved to facilitate the
* mechanism of math versions also when using XeTeX or LuaTeX
* The en-dash and dotless i and j will now work with all 8bit
encodings, and also with Unicode fonts.
