The asmejour class is a template to format preprints in the style
of journal papers published by the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers.
This update adds a single-column option and makes a variety of
minor changes to the underlying code.
The layout and reference formats of the asmejour.cls follow the
style of published papers in 2024. Hyperlinks and pdf features
are fully supported. The class includes a up-to-date BibTeX style,
asmejour.bst, that supports online sources, URL and DOI fields,
and generates current reference styles. This .bst can replace
the old asmems4.bst.
