License type: lppl Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- With this script you can install a Postscript Type1 font family (at least the four basic cuts + (faked) small caps + faked slanted, but no expert fonts) for using it with LaTeX (MiKTeX). The script will rename the fonts automatically (optinal) or will otherwise expect the *.pfb and *.afm files named in the Karl Berry scheme (e.g. 5bbr8a.pfb). Just adapt the script variables to your fonts and directories. After running it, you should have a working font installation in your local TeX tree. On Wed, 27 Jan 2010 Siep Kroonenberg submitted updates to the epspdf and epspdf-extra packages. Epspdf[tk] is a Ruby script which converts between PostScript, EPS and PDF. It has both a command-line and a GUI interface. Using pdftops (xpdf command-line utilities) for round-tripping opens up several new possibilities compared to older similarly-named utilities. Epspdf-extra provides support for epspdf on Windows and MacOS X platforms. I adds true small caps and oldstylenumbers for the latin alphabet and also adds Greek support for Times. The glyphs for Greek are mainly from the GNU FreeFont. However, there are several modifications needed to make a type1 font work with Greek in Babel and so a derivative font has been created. Some kerning information was also added and the glyph final sigma was scaled to proper size in the roman font (there is a bug in GNU FreeFont, final sigma is too big).
