It is available from http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/3dldf and other ftp servers. I wanted to do this before starting on the input routine. * Added `const real step' argument to the version of Ellipse::intersection_points() that takes an Ellipse argument. * BUG FIX: Added `touch 3DLDFmp.mp' to the `3DLDFmp.mp' target in 3DLDF-1.1.5/CWEB/Makefile.am. This ensures that TeX and dvips will be run if MetaPost is run on `3DLDFmp.mp'. This happens if `3DLDFput.mp' is newer than `3DLDFmp.mp', but the latter isn't changed, so TeX and dvips weren't being run. I'm surprized nobody's complained about this. Not yet documented in the _3DLDF User and Reference Manual_. * Added `PHONY' targets as synonyms for certain targets: `cpl' for `3dldf'. For compiling and linking `3dldf'. `mp' for `3DLDFmp.mp'. For running MetaPost on `3DLDFmp.mp'. `ldf' for `3DLDFput.mp'. For running `3dldf'. Not yet documented in the _3DLDF User and Reference Manual_. * It is now possible to ``typedef'' `real' to either `float' or `double'. This means that `real' can now be made a synonym for either `float' or `double' by using a `typedef' declaration. `real' is typedeffed to `float' by default. * Added `const TINYINT(1) ldf_real_float' and `extern const TINYINT(1) ldf_real_double' for use in non-conditionally compiled code. GRAPHICAL CAPABILITIES BaKoMa TeX includes an interpreter for *PostScript Level 2*, which is tested for compatibility with output from popular software such as: MetaPost, Adobe Illustrator 10, Adobe Streamline 4.0, Mathematica 4, MatLab, CorelDraw 10, CorelXARA, HIGZ, PageDraw, FrameMaker, ImageMagick, etc. All DVI back-ends support the same special interface compatible with well known Rokicki's DVIPS, including processing PostScript embedded into DVI files (PSTricks, PSfrag, XyPic, etc.). The system includes Graphics Import Filters for the following formats: EPS/PS, HPGL, DXY, FIG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PCX, MSP, BMP. FONTS BaKoMa TeX supports the following font formats: * OpenType (both TTF and OTF are supported), * PostScript Type 1 (including Multiple Masters), * PostScript Type 3, * TrueType, * TeX PK/VF. The system includes about *1500* typefaces in PostScript Type 1 and Type 3 font format including the following fonts: * CM (including LaTeX and Logo fonts + vf for T1 with CX * AMS Fonts (Euler, Math Symbols), * EC/TC, * LH (T2A), * Concrete (Math, ECC), * Malvern, * CMCyr + vf for T2A/LCY * Scripting fonts, CMPica, Punk. Math Fonts: * Stmaryrd, Wasy, Rsfs, YHMath, BlackBoard (bbm, doublestroke). Diagram drawing fonts: * Lams, Astro Symbols (cmastro, astrosym, moonphase), * Barcodes (barcodes, wlean, wlc*), Logical (loggates, milstd), * timing, MusiXTeX, Chess/CChess, Go, Backgammon, Dingbats/NiceFrame. etc. Any font type can be used for any output device/format. This feature is supported by automatic font conversion between font formats when needed. This feature enables the rendering of Type 1 fonts *without ATM*. On the other hand, it enables the use of TrueType/OpenType fonts for generating PostScript printed even on PostScript Level 1 printers. In advance, BaKoMa TeX is ready to use most of free Type 1 fonts available on CTAN and Trutype fonts coming with MS Windows systems. Font Setup Wizard lets you to install most of commercial (and free) OpenType, TrueType, and Postscript Type 1 fonts in almost one click. OpenType/Type1 fonts (OTF) are supported also under Windows 9x and NT 4.0 even without ATM. USER INTERFACE * Dynamical Preview (Instant Preview) of selected part of a document. It reformats (and preview) selected part of document on the fly, when you edit it. Important feature of BaKoMa TeX is consistent graphics and font support for all types of output. This means that all font formats mentioned may be used for every type of output. PDF GENERATION FEATURES * Handling in-line PostScript in DVI files (PSTricks). * Creating PDF files which share fonts. Suitable for preparing CD-ROM based document libraries. * Embedding fonts in CFF requires 2--3 times less space then other font forms. * Embedding ToUnicode CMAPs to support search and copy-paste of cyrillic and other international characters. * Handling HyperTeX (HyperRef) and document outline. HTML GENERATION FEATURES BaKoMa TeX 5 supports several ways for conversion of (La)TeX documents into HTML files. * `TeX|Generate HTML ...' text editor menu command lets you launch `TeX4HT' convertor with numerous options. * `File|Generate HTML ...' LaTeX even crashed when converting or previewing. * A grayscale of 100 percent resulted into a filling of the object with the border colour. i have just installed a new version of footmisc.sty in ctan directory macros/latex/contrib/footmisc changes from the previous version are: - mending a bug about per-page footnote numbers in a gather environment - added DefineFNsymbol* variant - some new predefined symbol sets - symbol* option uses symbol set lamport*-robust - hanging footnotes may hang for more than one paragraph (misfeature correction) many of the changes were suggested by frank mittelbach, as part of his on-going attempts to produce something he actually liked documenting for the latex companion. it's been a long time since he asked for anything new, so i'm guessing it's time to submit this new version for the world's attention. i've installed a new version on ctan (help/uk-tex-faq) and on the web (http://www.tex.ac.uk/faq). during my time off work sick in the last two months, i wrote a few new questions, and did fairly major tidying in several areas. (it took the mind off being uncomfortable for most of the time...) i propose to do some work on the web server's performance (by using a somewhat more sensible mechanism to generate html from the latex source) before the next full release, so i may make minor content- related releases between now and 2004. (the existing texfaq2html mechanism has persisted since 1995, when the faq operated on a web server at the university of sussex.) Robin Fairbairns FAQ maintainer, and for the CTAN team

This has been done to ensure that books of this publisher have a unique layout. The publisher has allowed me to distribute the document class with auxilliary files and documentation freely. Unfortunately, most of the documentation is only available in German. Since the document class is intended to generate a unique layout, many things (layout etc.) are fixed and cannot be altered by the user. If you want to use the document class for another purpose than publishing with the Teubner Verlag, this may arrise unwanted restrictions (For instance, the document class provides only two paper sizes: DIN A-5 and 17cm x 24cm; only two font families are supported: Times and European Computer Modern). The document class needs some additional packages, partly relatively new ones, partly packages that are not installed on most TeX installations. A list of needed packages is contained in usefiles.txt. The package is released under the LPPL. I'd suggest to store tarball's contents in macros/latex/contrib/ Here's an extract from the README file: The guit.sty package provides some commands useful to correctly write the logo of Gruppo Utilizzatori Italiani di TeX (Italian TeX User Group), using the default document color or any other color the user may ever choose, in conformity with logo's scheme as seen on the Group site (http://www.guit.sssup.it). Likewise, commands are available that simplify the writing of GuIT acronym's complete expansion and of the correct address of Group's internet site. MimeTeX parses LaTeX math expressions, and emits either mime xbitmaps or gif images of them, rather than the usual TeX dvi's. MimeTeX is primarily intended to help you maintain native html documents containing math. Similar non-MathML packages, like textogif and gladTeX, require setup procedures that use TeX to help generate external gif images of your equations, which are later included in your html document as it's being rendered. MimeTeX is, as far as I know, the only such non-MathML package that has its own built-in parser and rendering engine, entirely independent of TeX, and therefore requires no setup procedure or external images whatsoever.
