Memoir is a configurable class for typeseeting general (non-)

fiction and mathematical books. It encompasses the book and report classes and can simulate the article class and double-spaced typewritten manuscripts.

It provides a variety of predefined page, chapter and caption

styles with easy means of creating your own. There is a reasonably intuitive way of specifying page margins. etc, and trimming marks can be printed. Documents can use 9--12pt and 14pt fonts as the normal size.
