I've uploaded tabto.sty to ac.uk.
It is a new package, sort of a merger of tabto.tex and varindent.tex providing:
Tabbing to fixed positions in a paragraph. Commands abto ( abto*) and ab.
It is LPPL. It could go in macros/latex/contrib/misc or have its own directory created.
i've installed the files (tabto.sty and tabto.txt) in a new directory macros/latex/contrib/tabto
thanks for the upload: i'll update the catalogue for the overnight run.
