On Sun, 2 Oct 2011 submitted an update to the
texliveonfly
package.
Summary description: providing MikTeX-like package downloading on the fly for TeX Live License type: gpl
Announcement text: ----------------------------------------------------------------------
texliveonfly.py should now work both on python 2.6+ and 3, and on OS X and Linux. Default compiler is now pdflatex, to cater to the mainstream user. In addition, many new features added:
-User can now set --texlive_bin=LOCATION
-Graphical privilege escalation is now default, and the script will no longer escalate unless necessary (i.e. local texlive installs are now viable)
-Now displays output from the compiler, allows the user to interact directly with it (e.g. when -interaction=nonstopmode is unset), and inherits the exit code.
-Now capable of speech-synthesized notifications; turn on using:
--speech_when=always/installing/failed/some combination.
Finally, default options have been placed near the top of the script; feel free to modify them as you wish!
