out in the wilderness, the daemon cries:
The following information was provided by the package's contributor.
Name of contribution: interval Author's name: Lars Madsen Package version: 0.1 Location on CTAN: macros/latex/contrib/interval/ Summary description: Provides a macro to format intervals, ensuring the proper spacings around the fences License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
When typing an open interval as $]a,b[$, a closing bracket is being used in place of an opening fence and vice verse. This leads the wrong spacing in, say, $]-a,b[$ or $Ain]a,b[=B$. This package attempts to solve this using
interval{a}{b} -> [a,b] interval[open]{a}{b} -> ]a,b[ interval[open left]{a}{b} -> ]a,b]
etc.
It also support fence scaling and ensure that the enclosing fences will end up having the proper closing and opening type.
thanks for the upload; i've installed the new package, and made an entry for it in the catalogue repository.
