The following information was provided by the package's contributor.
Name of contribution: ucharclasses Author's name: Mike Pomax Kamermans Package version: 2.0 Location on CTAN: macros/xetex/latex/ucharclasses/ Summary description: Actions when text switches from one Unicode block to another License type: pd
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
The ucharclasses package for XeLaTeX, for injecting arbitrary code when transitions between unicode blocks occur (like font switching), has been updated to version 2.0!
The improvements are two-fold: 1) the code is much faster (thanks to Enrico Gregorio) and possibly more import, 2) the code is now public domain. That means you will be able to use it however you like, without worrying about strange non- free license issues, or not finding it in TeX Live =)
thanks for the upload; i've installed the new version, and updated the catalogue repository.
