I am pleased to announce the release of the v1.8a update to IEEEtran.cls (the class file for IEEE journal and conference authors). Version 1.8a features a heavily reworked compsoc mode to more closely comply with the latest standards of the IEEE Computer Society. A bug that affected the abstract, index terms and diamond line for compsoc technotes has also been fixed. See the changelog.txt file for full details.
