On Fri, 28 Jan 2005, Heiko Oberdiek submitted version 1.1 of his pkfix package.
License is LPPL. Location on CTAN: support/pkfix/
Short description of pkfix: Some PostScript files with bitmapped fonts contain comments, added by dvips. Then pkfix tries to find the type 1 versions of the font and replaces them.
Changes of v1.1: * Bug fix: embedded encodings are now detected and used. * The temporary dvi files are now written directly. Thus pkfix does not depend on TeX (but on dvips) and runs faster.
