Version 3.5 from last week introduced float.sty support, but for the previous version of float.sty, not the current.

Version 3.6 supports current float.sty, and retains support for the previous version. It also supports the new-float mechanisms of memoir.cls and ccaption.sty.

It also introduces a new command to support other, unknown, classes of float: e.g., egin{wrapfloat}{figure} is the same as egin{wrapfigure}.

Version 3.6 still retains the deficiencies I've known about for years.
