Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
While such engines as xetex and luatex can use native system fonts, the installation base of pdftex is large enough to justify its continuing support with new fonts.
This package provides support files for the Adobe Caslon font family from Adobe. According to the Fontname scheme, this corresponds to the family pac. We provide the necessary font files---everything but the fonts.
The package is release under Modified BSD license, http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#ModifiedBSD, http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/licenses.bsd.html
thanks for the upload; i've installed the new version, and updated the catalogue repository.
Users may view the package catalogue entry at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/adobecaslon.html or they may browse the package directory at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/fonts/psfonts/adobe/adobecaslon/
The catalogue entry will change (somewhat) on the web, by tomorrow morning (Cambridge time).
