pst-slpe is a PSTricks related package for gradient fill styles of different shapes.
This version 1.3 has new optional arguments for a fading style, the transparency can be variable from 0 to 1.
i have installed the new version, and updated the catalogue (in a small way) -- thanks for the upload.
