I have uploaded the files

to the /incoming directory at dante.ctan.org. Please, create a new directory fonts/DayRoman and install the files there. Do _not_ unpack the ZIP archives!
Thiese are the free Type1 fonts Day Roman and Day Roman Expert and the required font metrics, virtual fonts etc. to use them with TeX on the Un*x or PC platform.
Day Roman is a digitally redrawn version of the Two Line Double Pica Roman, a typeface designed by 16th century French punchcutter Francois Guyot. The character set suits today's requirements, including even the Euro. Use of the historic long s is supported as an option.
The Type1 fonts are provided for free by Apostrophiclab http://www.apostrophiclab.com and may be redistributed, as long as the archive file (day_t1.zip) is kept intact and no money is charged. (Does this imply that it must be distributed from the nonfree branch of the CTAN?) I have added the font metrics, virtual fonts and FD files, which are released under the LPPL.
Thanks for the upload, I installed the files as requested in
fonts/DayRoman
